Welcome to Rockfield Spirits an exciting new distillery in the heart of Hereford cathedral city! A city known for its cider production and close proximity to the picturesque countryside.
Our distillery is situated on the grounds of a former cider mill once owned by the esteemed Boulton family. In 1840 the mill stood on ground formally known as Priory Meadow, an area steeped in Herefordshire's cider production. We are delighted to bring this History back to life, with a modern twist. Instead of cider barrels, we've embraced the art of distillation using copper stills and bottles - creating the taste of Hereford - Rockfield Spirits.
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey of exceptional spirits!
Paul Scourfield, an accomplished engineer, and business owner of EMS- a local air conditioning company - collaborated with his close friend and colleague Mike Griffiths to create Rockfield Spirits. As the business began to take shape, they were joined by a vital new member, Paul's wife Sarah Scourfield. With the background as a headteacher, Sarah brought her own insights and creativity to the mix, helping to shape the vision of Rockfield Spirits.
Paul and Mike's passion for crafting the perfect spirit has been the driving force since the beginning. They have spent countless hours perfecting their craft, experimenting with different botanicals, spices and ingredients to produce their first spirits. Their commitment to detail is reflected in our first two spirits: dry gin and a pink gin, which are now available to purchase in our distillery shop in Hereford or online.
Paul and Mike are continuing to experiment with blends and flavours to bring further ranges and releases in the future. They are currently developing a unique spiced rum and vodka, as well as exploring different flavoured gins. By following us on social media, you can stay up to date with our latest creations and be the first to know about exciting new releases.

Last but not least...
At the heart of Rockfield Spirits is Doris, our first large still, affectionately named in honour of Sarah's late mother. With the installation of Doris, Rockfield Spirits have been able to produce their exceptional spirits on a larger scale, ensuring that more people can experience the incredible taste and quality of Rockfield Spirits.
We are also excited to open our doors to gin enthusiasts who want to learn the art and science of gin making. Our gin tasting and gin making classes are perfect for those that want to get behind the scenes and learn how to create their own gin blends.
Come and discover the unique flavours and aromas of Rockfield Spirits. Whether you're a seasoned gin connoisseur or just starting to explore the world of spirits, we have something to offer everyone.
